Carl “Kale” Keola Ciriako Sr., 66, of Kealakekua is survived by a son, Carl (Kathy) Ciriako Jr. of Kailua-Kona. An earlier obituary incorrectly identified the son.

Mollie K.H. Chun, 79, of Hilo died June 13, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a retired baker for Kapiolani Elementary School, volunteer for RSVP, charter member of Trinity Community Church and member of Kulaimano Family &Community Education.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 12 at The House Hilo (formally known as Trinity Community Church), 2282 Kanoelehua Ave, Hilo, for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at 1 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

Joey Allen Acia, 49, of Keaau died June 22, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama Facility. Born May 23, 1966, in Hilo, he was a former prep cook for Hilo Hawaiian Hotel.

Rosamellia “Aunty Rose” C. Carvalho, 78, of Hilo died June 9, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama Facility. Born July 20, 1936, in Pahala, she was a retired sales clerk for the former Smartwear and a member of Heritage Christian Fellowship in Hilo.

Edward Smith
Edward Joseph Smith, 91, of Hilo died June 6, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in St. Louis, he was an electrical engineer with Christie Electric and an Army veteran.
Services will be held in California with scattering of his ashes to follow.
He is survived by son, Roger Smith of California; daughter, Karen Smith of California; brother, Fred Smith of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Katsuyoshi Fukushima
Katsuyoshi “Kadon” Fukushima, 81, of Captain Cook died May 5, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 24, 1933, in Honaunau, he was a house painter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by brothers, Koichi (Joan) Fukushima of Captain Cook, John (Betty) Fukushima of North Carolina; sisters, Matsuno Katz of Las Vegas, Sanae (Sueto) Matsumura of Kealakekua; one uncle; one aunt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louise Hada
Louise Fumiko Hada, 82, of Hilo and formerly of Honolulu died June 17, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.
Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Hilo or the Hawaii Island Adult Care Center.
She is survived by daughters, Dianne Justice of Hilo, Myra (Edwin) Lopes of Honolulu; three grandchildren.

Donald “Don” Merrill Bremer, 89, of Keaau died June 21, 2015, at home. Born in Los Angeles, he was a retired choral conductor and music director, founder of the Hawaii Island Teen Court, a World War II Navy photographer and member of the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

He is survived by wife, Nina Shipman Bremer of Keaau; daughters, Lianne Bremer and Carolyn Bremer, both of Long Beach, Calif.; stepdaughters, Westerly Gardner of Keaau, Lani Shipman of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Peter Happi, 71, of Waikoloa died June 20, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was the co-owner of Hawaii by the Sea Realty LLC and an Army veteran.

Florence Kalei Pine Nakanelua, 90, of Honokaa died June 9, 2015, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born July 1, 1924, in Kukuihaele, she was retired from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, also worked for Waipio Poi Factory and Brantley Center and was a member of Hale Hauoli Senior Center in Honokaa, Honokaa Senior Club, Honokaa ILWU and several hula halau.

She is survived by daughters, Pamela (Marcelo Jr.) Nakanelua-Castillo of Waimea, Jasmine Nakanelua-Anderson of Hilo, Princess Nakanelua and Charmaine (Len) Nakanelua-Hiraoka, both of Honokaa; sons, Wayne Pine of Kohala, Garrison Nakanelua Sr. of Riverside County, Calif.; brothers, Charles Perkins of Oahu, Levi Perkins of Holualoa, Keala Perkins, Robert Perkins and Sol Perkins, all of Kona; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
